Optimal Salinity Levels Found for Successful Fish Hatching and Survival.
The researchers studied how different levels of salt in water affect the development and activity of hybrid fish larvae. They found that the best salt levels for hatching were between 30 and 35, with lower or higher levels leading to fewer hatched eggs and more abnormal larvae. The ideal salt levels for larval survival were also between 30 and 35, with higher or lower levels resulting in lower survival rates.
