The Huoerxinhe coal preparation plant analyzed the properties of their raw coal and found it to be low ash, low volatile, and high calorific value. The coal is easy to grind but difficult to degrade, with medium washability for lump coal and easy washability for fine coal. They designed a process to separate the coal into different sizes using heavy medium shallow groove and cyclone separators. The process efficiently concentrates and dries the coal, with machines arranged in parallel for processing, working, and accidents.
