The article discusses the current drainage system and initial rainwater pollution in Hefei old town. It identifies problems with the drainage system and pollution in rainwater. By analyzing 20 years of rainfall data, the study suggests methods for collecting and treating urban initial rainwater. A criterion for rainwater storage is established, predicting its benefits. The findings offer solutions to control pollution in urban rivers and improve the water environment, guiding future engineering projects.
