Optimizing nitrogen levels and planting density boosts peanut yield and root growth.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen and planting densities affect the roots and yield of peanuts. They found that more nitrogen led to bigger and more developed roots, while higher planting densities made roots grow more horizontally. The weight of the roots increased with nitrogen, but decreased with higher planting densities. The best results were seen with 135,000 plants per hectare and 105 kg of nitrogen per hectare.
