Researchers in Enshi prefecture have been working on breeding a new type of rice that is resistant to a disease called rice blast. They have been selecting and breeding rice plants that are resistant to this disease for over 20 years. By using specific screening methods and breeding techniques, they have successfully developed a batch of hybrid rice that meets their goals of high quality, high yield, and disease resistance. This new rice variety is now being grown in Enshi prefecture to benefit the local community and environment.
