New method predicts slope stability, preventing dangerous landslides in Nanjing City.
The article presents a method to assess the stability of slopes in Nanjing City. It analyzes the slope's geological background and factors affecting stability, then studies the relationship between these factors and past slips in the city. By assigning grades to each factor based on their correlation, a stability evaluation model is developed. The research provides a way to determine the stability coefficient of slopes under different rainfall conditions.
