Dam deformation prediction is a tough task, but a new model combining stepwise regression analysis and Markov chain can help. By analyzing dam data and state transition probabilities, the model accurately predicts dam deformations. The results show that the model works well for predicting dam deformations and can be used for monitoring and early warnings.
