Greenhouse design breakthrough slashes energy costs for farmers in Shandong
The researchers looked at how different types of sunlight greenhouses handle temperature changes on sunny and cloudy days. They built two greenhouses, each with a different structure, and checked the temperatures inside during sunny and cloudy weather. On sunny days, they found that Greenhouse 2 kept a more stable temperature and warmed up more slowly than Greenhouse 1. However, Greenhouse 1 reached a higher peak temperature than Greenhouse 2. On cloudy days, both greenhouses showed a gradual decrease in temperature throughout the day. Overall, the study suggests that Greenhouse 2 has better insulation, maintains a more consistent temperature, and could be a good choice for greenhouse setups in certain regions.
