A study looked at how returning rice straw to the soil affects wheat yield, runoff NPK loss, and soil fertility. Different treatments were tested, including using less fertilizer and minimum tillage. The results showed that rice straw return slightly decreased wheat yield but reduced NPK loss in runoff. Soil nutrient levels increased, especially during wheat growth stages. Overall, returning rice straw to the soil can help improve soil fertility and reduce nutrient loss in runoff water.
