Qing Dynasty Power-shift Movement Leads to Southwest China Integration.
The Power-shift Movement in the Qing Dynasty led to the integration of southwest China by replacing local chieftains with Han officials. This change eliminated Tusi-governed districts and aligned the region's administration with the rest of China. The Central Government promoted Han culture, especially Confucianism, in these areas, leading to the local ethnic groups embracing Central Plains Culture. As a result, southwest China became fully integrated into China's territory.
