Optimal Fertilization Model Boosts Tobacco Yields in Hunan Province.
A study in Hunan Province looked at how different fertilizers affect tobacco growth. They found that nitrogen fertilizer had the biggest impact on tobacco yields, followed by phosphorus and potassium. Combining nitrogen and phosphorus, as well as phosphorus and potassium, had significant effects. The optimal amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers were 164.7, 145.4, and 352.6 kg/hm^2 respectively, with a ratio of 1:0.89:2.11. This led to the best yield of 2,194.7 kg/hm^2. These findings help farmers know how to best fertilize their tobacco crops for maximum production.
