Feng Brothers' Poetic Revolution: Morality Teaching Through Tang Poems
The Feng Brothers, key figures in the Yushan Poetics school during the early Qing Dynasty, believed that poetry should teach morality. They drew inspiration from late Tang poems and focused on text analysis, compilation, and historical research to develop their own poetic principles. By incorporating the spirit of textology into poetics, they established the professional characteristics of Qing Dynasty poetics.
