Desertification in China Threatens Ecosystems and Future Sustainability
Land desertification in China, mainly in Inner Mongolia and Northwest China, has been somewhat controlled in recent years. However, natural conditions and human activities still contribute to the problem. Advances in monitoring and assessment have been made, moving from basic indicators to remote sensing technology. But there is a need for a standardized assessment system to effectively combat desertification in these regions. Developing such a system is crucial for creating successful desertification control programs in the future.
