Boost soybean photosynthesis with molybdenum and boron combo for higher yields!
The study looked at how adding molybdenum and boron to soybean plants affects their ability to photosynthesize. They tested three different soybean varieties with different treatments. The results showed that adding molybdenum and/or boron increased the plants' leaf area for photosynthesis, photosynthetic rates, and respiration rate. It also delayed the decline of chlorophyll in the leaves and increased soluble carbohydrates in the late stage of growth. The combination of molybdenum and boron had the best effect on photosynthetic efficiency. Molybdenum had a greater impact on certain aspects of photosynthesis, while boron had a greater impact on others. The three soybean varieties showed genetic variation in their response to molybdenum and boron.
