Optimal potato fertilizer balance boosts mountainous area crop production.
A study tested different amounts of nutrients for growing potatoes in a mountainous area. They found that using potassium and phosphorus fertilizers without nitrogen reduced potato production. The best amount of fertilization for potatoes was 12 kg of nitrogen, 8.25 kg of phosphorus, and 7.32 kg of potassium per 666.7 square meters. The highest yield was achieved with 12 kg of nitrogen, 8.69 kg of phosphorus, and 8.02 kg of potassium per 666.7 square meters. The most benefit in yield was seen with 3-6 kg of phosphorus and 0-3 kg of potassium per 666.7 square meters.
