Rural residents' income structure shifts, cash income dominates, changes ahead.
The income structure of rural residents has changed significantly since the economic reform in 1978. Cash income has become the main source of income, with wages and salaries playing a bigger role. Income from household operations is the main source of farmers' net income. Income from transfers and properties is increasing slowly. The income from primary, secondary, and tertiary industries has also changed moderately. To further enhance the income of rural residents, proper measures should be taken based on these changes and new characteristics.
