The study looked at different types of sediment in the H3 member formation in southern Biyang Depression. They found that the sediment is mainly made up of debris flow, distributary channels, and river deposits. The sediment in the frontal fan delta is mostly deep gray and black gray mudstone, sandy mudstone, and siltstone.
