The study examined sedimentary microfacies in the Chang 9 Member of the Pingbei area in the Ordos Basin. By analyzing cores and logging data, researchers identified two main sub-facies (delta front and prodelta) and six microfacies (subsea distributary channel, interdistributary area, sheet sand, debouch bar, far sand dam, and lake clay). The subsea distributary channel and debouch bar were found to have good reservoir properties, making them potential oil and gas reservoirs.
