Optimizing Nitrogen Fertilizer Boosts Oil and Protein Yield in Hybrid Rape Cultivars
The study looked at how the timing and amount of nitrogen fertilizer affected oil and protein yield in high-quality hybrid rape plants. They found that using specific amounts of fertilizer at different times could maximize oil and protein production. For oil yield, using 8.0 kg/hm2 of living and opening fertilizer, along with 3.40 kg/667m2 of 12th lunar month fertilizer, gave the best results. For protein yield, using 8.0 kg/hm2 of living and opening fertilizer, and 7.90 kg/667m2 of 12th lunar month fertilizer was most effective. The total amount of nitrogen fertilizer needed varied between the two cultivars for maximum oil yield, but not for protein yield.
