The researchers studied the relationships between different plant species in wetlands in Shanxi. They used statistical tests to analyze the data from 70 plots and found that some species were positively associated while others were negatively associated. They also identified three ecological species groups based on how well the plants adapted to their environment. Overall, the study showed that there are complex interactions between different plant species in the wetlands of the Huliu River watershed.
