The study analyzed different types of sedimentary facies in the Shaertu sandbody group in the Taikang-Xichao area of the Daqing Oilfield. They identified various subfacies and microfacies in the study area, which can help in predicting potential oil and gas reservoirs. The researchers found two promising areas for oil and gas exploration based on the sedimentary characteristics: the slope zone of Jiang21-Du65-Lai20 well and the Du53 well block.
