The study looked at different ways to improve maize production in Yunnan. They found that using formula fertilizer with manganese (Mn) gave the highest yield and profit. Adding boron (B) to the formula fertilizer also increased yield. The quality of maize was best with formula fertilizer, formula fertilizer with Mn, and formula fertilizer with mature. Using formula fertilizer with mature improved soil nutrients. For areas lacking B and Mn, using formula fertilizer with Mn and formula fertilizer with B is recommended for high yield maize production.
