Rotational sheep grazing boosts degraded grassland recovery and nutritional value.
Sheep grazing methods and intensities were studied in a degraded grassland to see how they affect the nutritional value of forage. Different grazing systems and intensities were tested, with rotational grazing showing the best results. Forage in rotational grazing had higher digestibility and nutrient content compared to continuous grazing. The forage in the 6plots rotational grazing group had the highest nutritional value overall. This study suggests that using rotational grazing methods can help improve the quality of forage in degraded grasslands.
