The survey in Qingdao, Shandong Province found that farmers are older, lack knowledge of modern agricultural techniques, and prefer face-to-face communication with experts. To address this, the paper suggests improving extension methods, promoting modern agriculture, strengthening grassroots systems, government guidance, and public services, and increasing farmer participation in extension activities.
