The article discusses how geologic analysis is used to predict and understand karst geological disasters in carbonate rock areas during tunnel construction. By studying the lithology, rock structures, topography, and karst development in the Jie-shang tunnel of the Hangrui highway, key regions of karst development were identified. This method helps prevent economic losses and casualties in tunnel excavation projects.
