Climate change and human activity impact grassland productivity in Northeast China.
The study looked at how climate change and human activity affect grassland growth in western Songnen Plain. They found that higher temperatures and more rain led to increased plant growth. Precipitation had a bigger impact than temperature, likely due to the area's water scarcity. Grasslands near roads had better plant growth, possibly due to good management practices. In contrast, grasslands near residential areas had weaker growth, likely due to more human activities like construction and grazing. Time scale also affected the results, with monthly differences being more significant than yearly ones.
