A new type of late-season hybrid rice called Zhongjiuyou 801 was created by Jiangxi Agricultural University. It has high-quality grains, strong disease resistance, and can produce a lot of seeds. This rice has a good mix of traits that make it grow well and produce a lot of food. It was officially approved in 2003 and is now available for farmers to grow.
