Optimizing Fertilizer Use Boosts Vegetable Yield and Reduces Nitrogen Pollution
Different fertilization schemes were tested on vegetable fields to see how they affect yield and nitrogen loss. Results showed that using fertilizers increased vegetable yield significantly. Organic and optimal fertilization reduced nitrogen loss compared to chemical fertilization. Increasing nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers led to more nitrogen loss. To reduce nitrogen loss, it is important to improve fertilizer ratios and increase organic fertilizer while decreasing chemical fertilizer.
