Joint ownership is commonly seen as either joint tenancy or tenants-in-common. However, due to changes in society and the economy, joint tenancy is outdated as all joint ownership forms are essentially tenants-in-common. To address this, laws should eliminate the distinction between the two to regulate joint ownership more effectively.
