Moisture-holding agent boosts Cupressus lusitanica afforestation survival by 99%!
In a dry and hot valley in Yunnan province, a study was done to improve the survival of Cupressus lusitanica trees. By using a moisture-holding agent, root-growing powder, and film cover, the survival rate of the trees reached 99%, which was much higher than the control group. The trees also grew taller and thicker compared to the control group and fixed planting levels. This method could be helpful for similar areas trying to grow trees.
