Yi Schools in Qing Dynasty China Boosted Ethnic Minority Cultural Development
The article compares Yi Schools in Yunnan and Guizhou during the Qing Dynasty. These schools were set up to educate ethnic groups in borderlands. The study shows that due to historical and geographical differences, Yi Schools in Yunnan and Guizhou had unique development processes and features. They helped in integrating the borderlands with the rest of China and raising the cultural level of ethnic minorities.
