New Rice Hybrid Discovery Promises Higher Yields and Stable Crops
The study looked at 30 different types of mid-season rice to see which factors were most important for high yields. They found that the number of panicles, filled spikelets per panicle, and seed-setting rate were all linked to higher yields. The weight of the grains also played a big role in determining yield. Overall, having more filled spikelets per panicle and a higher number of panicles were the most important factors for getting a good harvest.
