New agricultural technology boosts productivity in West regions by 5.74%
The study analyzed agricultural productivity growth in western regions from 2000 to 2007. They found that total factor productivity increased by an average of 5.74% during this period. The main factors driving this growth were technical progress, resource allocation efficiency, and scale efficiency. Technical progress was the most significant factor, accounting for 104% of the growth. To improve agricultural technology efficiency in the west, the study suggests adopting new varieties and technologies and adjusting resource allocation.
