The researchers analyzed precipitation patterns in Yulin, China from 1951 to 2010. They found that summer had the most rain, while winter had the least. Overall, precipitation decreased over the past 60 years. Different periods of variation were identified for each season, with the most significant being every 7 years. Sunspot activity was linked to annual and spring rainfall, but not to autumn or winter precipitation.
