Optimizing maize planting density boosts crop yield in Northern Henan.
Planting density and mode affect the growth and yield of summer maize varieties Zhengdan 958 and Xundan 20 in Northern Henan Province. The study found that factors like plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content, biomass, ear characteristics, and grain yield were significantly impacted by planting conditions. Zhengdan 958 yielded the most at 90000 plants per hectare in wide-narrow row planting, while Xundan 20 did best at 82500 plants per hectare in the same mode.
