Soda solution reduces sulphuric acid plant emissions by 85%.
A desulphurization technology was used to clean tail gas from a sulphuric acid plant in Jinchuan’s Chemical Plant. By using a soda-absorption system, the plant reduced the SO2 concentration in the gas to meet emission standards. The process involved treating the gas with soda solution to lower SO2 levels and produce sodium sulphate as a byproduct. This sodium sulphate was then neutralized with dilute acid to form a usable product.
