Artificial Hippophae rhamnoides L. forest shows adaptability to drought environment
The study measured how much water the Hippophae rhamnoides L. plant releases through its leaves and how it responds to different environmental conditions. They found that the plant's water release changes throughout the day and varies by month. In May and July, it peaks around noon, while in June, August, and September, it peaks twice, around mid-morning and mid-afternoon. This shows that the plant can adapt to dry conditions, making it a good fit for areas with less water.
