A new image segmentation method was developed using a human vision model and maximum entropy. This method improves on existing algorithms by reducing the time needed to find the best threshold and enhancing the accuracy of image segmentation. Experiments showed that this new method outperformed other traditional segmentation algorithms in terms of segmentation quality.
