RMB Exchange Rate Increase Linked to Decrease in Chinese Employment.
The study looked at how changes in the value of China's currency, the RMB, affect employment in the country. They used a VAR model to analyze the relationship between the RMB's real effective exchange rates and employment. The results showed that as the RMB's value goes up, employment in China goes down slightly. However, the fluctuations in the RMB's value only have a small negative impact on employment.
