Optimizing nitrogen fertilizer boosts late rice yield and quality significantly.
The study looked at how different ways of adding nitrogen fertilizer affect the amount and quality of late rice grown without tilling the soil. They found that using more nitrogen fertilizer led to higher rice yields. The best ratio of nitrogen application for the highest yield depended on the nitrogen level: 50% in the base fertilizer, 10% in the tillering fertilizer, 30% in the panicle fertilizer, and 10% in the grain fertilizer worked best for medium nitrogen levels, while 50% in the base fertilizer, 20% in the tillering fertilizer, 20% in the panicle fertilizer, and 10% in the grain fertilizer was best for high nitrogen levels.
