New method simplifies product configuration, revolutionizing manufacturing efficiency.
The article introduces a new method for product configuration that focuses on key properties of the product and its topological structure. By analyzing the relationships between product modules and their cohesion, the researchers identified Key Properties (KP) and developed modeling methods for them. They also proposed a method to divide production into modules based on topological relations. A product configuration algorithm was created to easily handle constraints between module properties and product structures. An example of configuring a desktop computer was used to show the effectiveness of this approach, which can be helpful for configuring other products.
