Yellow River Delta Coastline Erosion Threatens Surrounding Communities.
The article analyzes how the coastline and underwater landscape near the Yellow River delta have changed over time. By studying data on sediment and using mapping software, researchers found that most of the river's sediment deposits near the river mouth and coast. Different parts of the coast responded differently to changes in the river's path, with some areas experiencing erosion and others remaining stable. The coastline near the Qingshuigou river mouth extended into the sea, while the old river mouth saw erosion. Underwater, there was a mix of siltation and erosion in different areas from 1976 to 2005.
