Study reveals Tongxihe forest rich in plant diversity and unique species
The researchers studied the plant life in Tongxihe forest in Yinghua Mountain. They looked at the types of plants and how diverse they were in different parts of the forest. They found that there were 165 different plant species in the area, with small leaves being common. In secondary forests, the herb layer had the most types of plants. Plantation forests had the lowest diversity. Overall, the shrub layer had the most diverse plants in the untouched forests.
