New Peanut Variety Resistant to Bacterial Wilt Boosts Crop Yields!
A new peanut variety called Rihua 1 was created to be highly resistant to bacterial wilt. It was made by crossing Luhua 3 and Huayu 16. Rihua 1 has many benefits, including high production and adaptability. In experiments from 2005 to 2007, Rihua 1 yielded more peanuts compared to Luhua 11. The variety was approved for planting in Shandong Province in 2008 and is suitable for growing in the northern part of China.
