The researchers analyzed the growth of different types of grasslands in Barkol using satellite data. They found that low-land meadow had the highest vegetation index, followed by alpine steppe, temperate meadow, temperate steppe-desert, and temperate desert-steppe. The peak vegetation growth for most grasslands occurred in July, except for temperate steppe-desert which varied.
