New Image Thresholding Method Enhances Accuracy and Speed of Image Processing
A new method for image thresholding was developed to improve accuracy and reduce noise. By using a two-dimensional histogram oblique segmentation approach, the researchers created a formula and fast algorithm for maximum entropy thresholding. The results showed that this method produced more uniform inner parts and accurate edges in threshold images, with better noise reduction. The processing time for this new algorithm was significantly faster than existing methods, making it more efficient for image processing tasks.
