The study focused on identifying different types of seismic facies in the Xingcheng development area of the Xushen gas field, which is rich in volcanic rocks like rhyolite and volcaniclastic rocks. By analyzing seismic data, researchers found five distinct seismic facies that match the volcanic facies present in the area. The identification of these seismic facies helps in mapping out the distribution of volcanic rocks, which is crucial for selecting optimal drilling locations and planning for future development in the area.
