The study analyzed forest vegetation in South Korea by examining data from 1,456 plots over 17 years. Researchers classified four species groups and identified 10 vegetation units based on factors like geology, climate, and topography. These units were closely linked to environmental conditions, leading to the conclusion that South Korea's forest vegetation can be summarized by 10 units and 7 eco-types.
