The article compares how often researchers in China and other countries work together on education studies. It shows that overseas researchers collaborate more than domestic ones, especially on studies that involve real data. Overseas researchers also focus more on studies that involve real data compared to domestic researchers. In the past five years, the number of studies using real data in Chinese education journals has been increasing steadily.
