The new algorithm BDMVR improves on existing value reduction algorithms by using overlooked information in the discernibility matrix to guide the reduction process. It maximizes the use of information in the matrix, regardless of the order of objects and attributes, resulting in the same rules being obtained. Experiments on five datasets show that the algorithm is effective in achieving its goal.
